Social Justice: Addressing the Narrative of Fear

Date and time:
Saturday, May 27, 2017 - 10:00am to 5:00pm
First Unitarian Society of Minneapolis
900 Mount Curve Avenue
55403 Minneapolis , MN
United States

The day will examine various forms of social oppression (e.g. racism, sexism, xenophobia, queer-antagonism, anti-semitism, etc.) and how these cultural prejudices are exploited by the right wing to reinforce the fear narrative. Speakers will look at how we may develop a new narrative, create positive solutions and establish integrated, inclusive strategies for creating significant change in the Trump era.

Co-sponsored by The Humanist Institute and First Unitarian Society of Minneapolis
